“NFT” stands for non-fungible token. In essence, it means that the digital asset is unique and irreplaceable—as opposed to a “fungible” token, like a tez, which is interchangeable with another tez. NFTs have exploded in popularity and are creating a new medium for art, music, comics, and more.

The InterPop Block Party will feature many opportunities to learn more about NFTs—and even collect some yourself. You’ll have the chance to collect original artist collections in our own version of Artist Alley, purchase exclusive variant covers of the #0 issue of Emergents and even pick up first-edition cards from the Emergents TCG.

To get the full NFT experience, you’ll first need to set up a Tezos wallet. We recommend using Kukai. With its DirectAuth feature, you can set it up with a Google email address or social media account. This will enable you to collect exclusive NFTs during the event and purchase art in Artist Alley.

We'll have a few free NFTs for you to claim - all you need is a wallet. For any of the NFTs to purchase, you can use a credit card or purchase with tez (XTZ) you already have in your Kukai wallet, purchased from an exchange before the event.

The InterPop Block Party is all about community building, so we chose to build it on a platform that helps recreate the feeling of gathering together. Topia is an immersive online space where you control an avatar (aptly and adorably called a “Topi”) to explore the different stations, meet new people, and hopefully make some lifelong connections through face-to-face interactions with your webcam.
